Con Alma Health Foundation grants focus on ensuring that all people have full and equal access to opportunities that enable them to lead healthy lives. To that end, the Foundation awards grants each year to support nonprofits’ efforts to improve their communities’ health.
Technical Assistance Grants – Strengthening the capacity of New Mexico’s nonprofit sector (6 grants, totaling $115,000)

100% Otero ($20,000) to expand efforts to become sustainable and relative by providing members training and development in strategic planning, fiscal agency, and promotion of a county-wide initiative to ensure all community members have access to vital services, including job training, youth mentors, medical and behavioral health care, and housing and food security programs
CASA of Lea County ($20,000) to obtain a part-time volunteer coordinator to ensure thoughtful leadership succession for the CASA program, increase volunteer recruitment, and meet volunteer management standards
Health Equity Alliance for LGBTQ New Mexicans ($15,000.00) to expand the Alliance’s ability to address current and emerging health policies that affect the health of LGBTQ+ people by creating a diverse, representative board, writing a strategic plan and organizational policies, and securing office space
Mandy’s Farm ($20,000) to increase positive outcomes for all individuals with disabilities by expanding training resources and curriculum focused on equipping caregivers with tools and knowledge to deliver culturally appropriate services based on an individual’s disability, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity
New Mexico Kids Matter Inc. ($20,000) to address and break the multi-generational cycles of addiction and child abuse in New Mexico by developing partnerships to improve and/or implement services for substance-abusing families statewide, promoting specialized advocacy services to foster children, providing services to improve parenting skills, and enhancing families’ abilities to remain stable or reunify during treatment and recovery
Zuni Youth Enrichment Project ($20,000) to partner with the Zuni Indian Health Service and Zuni- youth, parents, language teachers, artists, and cultural bearers, to center language, values, and traditions in a Zuni model and definition of health and wellness to help curb the high rates of preventable disease in Zuni
