2016 Annual Report

Download 2016 Annual ReportWe are pleased to report we had another busy, satisfying year as we continued to focus on a core principle: everyone should have an equal chance at living a healthy life, regardless of a person’s ethnicity, income or zip code. In addition to supporting minority and underserved populations, we completed a first-of-its-kind research project, examining how health care reform has helped New Mexico work toward health equity.

Our comprehensive study of how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) works in New Mexico is a key resource for policy makers and stakeholders about the issues and needs affecting children and families in our state. Our other collaborative work this year included a partnership with Border Philanthropy Partnership to advance health equity through leadership, collaboration and philanthropy in the border region. We provided support for healthy aging initiatives and strategies to address the growing trend of grandparents raising grandchildren, and collaborated with Hispanics in Philanthropy on a Latino Men and Boys Initiative to improve Latino males’ health, education and employment outcomes in New Mexico and the Southwest.

We are grateful for our incredible partners as well as our committed staff and members of our Board of Trustees and Community Advisory Committee. Your dedication and support is essential as we build partnerships and invest in change and advocate for all.
