2015 Cover crpdWe have had another rewarding year at Con Alma Health Foundation as we have strengthened relationships with partners across New Mexico and continued our work toward health equity for all. Two of our major projects have focused on making changes in our communities so everyone has an equal chance at a healthy life regardless of a person’s zip code, ethnicity, or income. In 2015 we concluded a three year project – Healthy People, Healthy Places – which has broadened our perspective on how people’s ability to access healthy food and be active in their communities affects their health. We were also in the middle of a comprehensive study for another project that assesses the strengths of federal health-care reform and recommends ways to maximize the benefits offered.
