Consumer Navigators Under The Affordable Care Act: Building A Community‐Based, Patient‐Centered System In New Mexico To Support Greater Healthcare Access And Coverage

The report entitled Consumer Navigators Under The Affordable Care Act reviews Health Care Reform provisions to inform the building of a community‐based, patient‐centered Navigator System in New Mexico that supports greater healthcare access and coverage as the Affordable Care Act is implemented in New Mexico. The Affordable Care Act requires Exchanges to establish a Navigator Program to award grants to entities, to help people learn about and understand how the premium tax credits will work, what their choices are in selecting from among the qualified health plans offered on the Exchange, and to help them enroll in a plan.
