In 2009, Con Alma Health Foundation started a tradition of recognizing individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the health of their communities, large and small. Each year, we call for nominations for Heroes, and they are recognized at our annual Grantee Recognition Event. Heroes can come from any field, including health-care providers, policy makers, advocates, clinicians, administrators, and volunteers who give of their time to address unmet health needs in New Mexico.
