Nizhoni Smiles, Inc., non-profit corporation was established to provide orthodontic and dental services on the Navajo Nation in 1992. The orthodontic program was founded in 1979 as the Navajo Orthodontic Program by the Navajo Nation and U.S. Indian Health Services. Nizhoni Smiles serves the public by striving to provide effortable dental/orthodontic services. Nizhoni Smiles currently operates at two locations on the Navajo Reservation at Shiprock, NM and at St. Michaels, Arizona near Window Rock, Arizona. The cost of operating the two facilities is borne entirely by NSI patient revenues. NSI does not receive any federal, state, or tribal funding or grants. How can we participant in this initiative?

You can recognise a dental emergency with a simple test: if you're in pain, it's probably an emergency. Causes of pain may include an obvious injury, such as a blow to the face causing a tooth to become dislodged; or an infection, such as an abscess in the tooth. More complex conditions may include issues with wisdom teeth, gum disease and mouth cancers.

It is not a normal thing that you go to see a doctor and the advice and treatment that the patient receives is what the patient actually needs.[.Not every doctor gives you the same treatment as your family doctor, and off course, you would need an appointment from your own doctor. In that case, you would need to get a Recurrent and Emergency Appointment system to rescue every patient.

I am very excited to read that you have received a grant to increase diversity in the nursing workforce in New Mexico. I am a Native American nurse and have been for 5 years. I have never regretted my choice of becoming a nurse. It's the best decision I made for myself and my family. I am very passionate about encouraging young native women to enter the nursing workforce. Good luck in your future endeavors with this grant.
